Some DivTag responsive themes’ responsive setting can be turned off. Once turned off, the theme will display the SAME design in desktop or mobile mode. *Please note single page scrolling themes CANNOT turn off the responsive design!
Before we start, log into your Weebly and go into the theme code editor by following these instructions:
2) Click into “design” then into “edit html/css”
STEP 1: Choosing your page layouts
Each page layout will need to changed to completely turn off the responsive setting of the theme. So here we will start from the top by editing index page layout. This is your ecommerce page where all of the product page, store front and checkout page will use this page layout. This will be the most complicated edit compare to the other page layout. Simply click on index located on the left hand column listed under Page Layouts to access the html codes.
STEP 2: Change Meta Codes
For the INDEX page, look for this code near the top of the page:
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0">>
REPLACE the code shown above with this code:
<meta name="viewport" content="width=1024">
STEP 3: Repeat step 1 & 2 for ALL PAGE LAYOUTS
Our themes ranges from 7 to 15 page layouts. Depending on the theme you are using the number of page layout you need to edit will be different. As a short cut, you can only edit the page layouts that you will be using.
STEP 4: Save & republish
Save your changes and re-publish your website
